Silver gelatin on fibre based paper, 13cm x 18cm
9 photographs show a 4x5" negative in various states during the gradual removal of its silver gelatine layer.
A photographic black and white negative stores the information in a light-sensitive silver gelatine emulsion. Completely exposed it is black, unexposed it is transparent. Between these two states, 1 and 0, are all the photographs that have ever been taken and will ever be taken.
This experimental arrangement serves to stimulate a thought experiment about the infinity of possible photographs.
